The highly-anticipated bout took place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and for the first time in history a boxing match and its undercards were streamed on Netflix across the globe. For those that don’t know the result yet, the eight-round fight went the distance and was scored 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73, with Jake Paul winning in a unanimous decision.
We’re already aware of just how much the 27-year-old claimed he’d take home if he won, and have recently heard about 58-year-old Mike Tyson’s purse for losing – but their could have been an extra incentive for ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’.
Going into the fight, the hall-of-famer boasted an impressive professional boxing record with 50 wins, 44 of those being knockouts, and only six losses, meanwhile his counterpart has 10 wins, seven knockouts, and one loss.
But despite the 31-year age gap between the two competitors, it wasn’t classed as an exhibition fight and it actually meant Tyson recorded another loss on his record – taking it to 50 wins and seven losses, while Paul’s now stands at 11 wins and still one loss.

Until ‘The Problem Child’ began fighting actual boxers, his career would always be questioned, and it is clear he understood that – fighting Tyson plus two more professional boxers since losing to Tommy Fury, former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury‘s little brother.
Now, a video has resurfaced online showing Paul playing with stacks of cash, stacking them on top of each other on his belly, while calling out ‘Iron Mike’.
“Mikey, Mikey, if you can last more than four rounds with me, I’ll give you an extra $5 million. But, if you don’t then you have to get a tattoo that says ‘I love Jake Paul’. Deal or no deal?” he said.
While that may sound like a fair deal, and probably before the fight punters would have bit the bookie’s hand off before the match, Tyson is no punk – obviously aware of the danger of puffing out with him being so much senior.
Speaking to USA Today, he said: “He should offer more.”

When asked how much he’d take it for, Tyson replied: “Tell him probably about 20 [million dollars].”
While it hasn’t been revealed just how much money was on the line, it’s understood that the winner was to get tens of millions of dollars. Speaking at a press conference in August, Paul said: “I’m here to make $40 million and knock out a legend.”
Tyson is rumoured to have a purse of $20 million.
Meanwhile Tyson’s friend, and former UFC champion, Henry Cejudo has claimed he’s made $20 million from the fight.
According to Celebrity Net Worth, before the fight Tyson was estimated to be worth $10 million, while Paul was believed to be worth $80 million.
