For the non-polyamorous amongst us, the thought of the person you love clocking in to hop into bed with their coworker and get to it, even in the 99.9 percent of cases where it’s all simulated, is bizarre.
This must be especially difficult, you’d imagine, when Nicole Kidman is going round telling interviewers she had to stop filming for her new movie as she’d just climaxed too many times.

This came (no pun intended) in a new interview for her upcoming film Babygirl.
Kidman is starring alongside Iron Claw star Harris Dickinson in the upcoming film, in which she plays a high-powered CEO.
Despite this, she finds herself in a loveless marriage, and engages in an affair with her young intern, played by Dickinson.
Whilst she holds the power at work, they engage in a BDSM dynamic, in which Dickinson’s character is in charge and kinky scenes ensue. Check out the trailer:
In a recent interview with The Sun, Kidman said: “There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm any more’.
“Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life! I’m over it. It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout.”
Whilst the everyday person might find this odd to hear from their wife, Kidman isn’t married to an everyday person, but to music superstar Keith Urban.
According to Kidman, when it comes to sex scenes, Urban really isn’t all too bothered.
The upcoming Babygirl is a fiery affair (A24)
Speaking to E! News Daily Pop, she said: “My husband is an artist, so he understands all of it, and he also does not get involved.”
She went on to say though that he doesn’t really have much say or idea of what goes on as is, saying: “He sees the show at the very end when it’s a show, all edited together, and he’s fresh eyes.
“He doesn’t read any script, he really doesn’t know what’s going on on the set, he’s got his own career that he’s completely absorbed in. He doesn’t know much about what I’m really doing.”
This is probably for the best you’d imagine based on what’s gone on in Babygirl by all accounts.

Despite this, the film is hotly anticipated, with a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of writing.
Hannah Strong of Little White Lies said in their review: “It’s the sort of intelligent, elegant adult filmmaking that is frequently lacking in modern cinema, approaching a complex theme not only with nuance and empathy but refreshing candour, all while being genuinely erotic and stylish.”
Babygirl releases January 10, 2025 in the UK.
